HoK has been steadily developing its metaverse assets to meet the significant demand expected over the next decade.
As recently reported in the Wall Street Journal, global annual business and consumer spending related to the metaverse could reach $5 trillion by 2030, according to a new report from consulting firm McKinsey and Co. E-commerce in the metaverse will comprise $2.0-2.6 trillion of the total, while virtual advertising efforts will account for another $144-206 billion.
The alpha release will introduce holders to the overall experience of the HoK metaverse, with the specific goals of testing simple features of each Pocket Dimension, exploring the environments, and testing multiplayer capabilities.
HoK has been developing 11 ultra-realistic environments including 10 original Pocket Dimension environments and one Genesis Moon environment, all created using Unreal Engine Five.
The alpha release plans to add more utility to every holder’s Web 3.0 metaverse experience. HoK Genesis members will also have access to their Genesis Moon environment.
The alpha release will give access to early versions of the following features.
- Private headline access
- Multiplayer lobby options
- Text chat capability
- Two player default avatars
- NPC hosts
- In-game minigames
- NFT interactions with image, video and text
- Different architectures e.g. HoK Lava Temple Gallery and Gutter Cat Gang Trap House
After the alpha release, HoK will collect user feedback to continue building additional features, with the goal of releasing fully featured Pocket Dimension to users in 2023 so they can start building their own virtual worlds.
