Play-to-win blockchain game SYN CITY will launch its Binance mob metaverse via the Binance Initial Gaming Offering (IGO) on December 9 at 4 p.m. m. UTC. As part of this launch, the SYN CITY team will offer a list of limited edition NFTs and other in-game assets designed specifically for Binance.
The concept of Initial Game Offerings (IGOs) has gained a lot of traction in recent months. All IGOs are exclusive to Binance, where top-tier blockchain games drop their NFT collections on the Binance NFT platform. These collections can be listed through auctions, fixed price sales, mystery boxes, and more. Binance allows game developers to install multiple IGO rounds for their upcoming games. This helps creators offer unlimited assets each round through flexible pricing structures.
IGOs are limited to games, so all content released on the Binance NFT platform must only include in-game assets. These can include assets such as experience points, access passes, legendary weapons, skins, and exclusive in-game items for the Binance community.
SYN CITY, a free-to-play game founded by former Tron business head Roy Liu, is the first syndicate and mafia-themed blockchain game of its kind. The proposed “mafia metaverse” will introduce a unique governance system called the Mafia-as-a-DAO (MaaD). MaaD incentivizes all players and allows them to join or create their unions. The developers of SYN CITY are veterans of games from Disney, Ubisoft, Roblox, EA, and Gameloft.
SYN CITY is storied and unique with its approach as a completely free and play-to-win game. Therefore, SYN CITY has received the endorsement of several prominent investors and venture capital firms. Days before the genesis launch of SYN CITY, Twitch co-founder Justin Kan and Robin Chan’s Goat Capital led an $8 million funding round, with additional financial backing from Spartan Group, Hack VC, A&T Capital, Animoca Brands and more.
